What is Lorenzo’s most embarrassing Carroll moment?

For a Photojournalism assignment, Brad Huslig shot portraits of Lorenzo Barles and asked him a few questions. Check back for more “Getting to know” features in the future. 

Q. What is one of your hobbies?   “I play the piano in my spare time. I just like hearing the melody of the song and because my parents have encouraged me to play.”

Q. What is your family like?  “Both my parents are from the Philippines and came to the U.S. when they were older. I have 3 younger brothers and one is a freshman and two of them are at St. Francis.”

Q. Why did you choose to take this class? “I chose this class so I could be good at pictures. Also I can become a professional at it along the way.”

Q. What has been a good memory for you this year at Carroll? “My best memory at Carroll so far has been making varsity in basketball.”

Q. What has been an embarrassing moment that has happened to you at Carroll? “On the first day of school I went to 7th hour instead of 6th hour. Everyone in that was in 6th hour laughed at me.”

Q. What do you want to do when you leave Carroll? “I would like to go to college and get a job. I want to make money and live my life.”

Q. What is your favorite sports team and why? “I like the Lakers. They had Kobe Bryant on the team and he was a beast.”

Q. What is your favorite TV show and why? “My favorite TV show is the Flash. He’s really fast and I like the action in the show.”

Q. Who is your favorite teacher at Carroll and why? “My favorite teacher is Mrs. Fox. She is pretty funny and chill and doesn’t really care.”

Q. Who is your celebrity look alike? “My celebrity look alike is Dwayne the rock Johnson. We both compare in size and are very talented.”
