Emily Bush’s picture of a ballet performer won Top Picture at the end-of-semester Photojournalism award ceremony on Wednesday. Bush snapped the picture for the People at Work or Play assignment. The lines, lighting and the graceful pose (she is holding fourth position) make for a striking picture.

Students in Mr. Long’s first-hour Photo J class submitted their top image, and Flyer newspaper staff photographers Drew Davis, Katie Gross and Wyatt Iseman voted.

2nd place went to Briley Kerschen for her Kids at Play assignment.

3rd place went to Haley Lord for her portrait shot of Natalie Leonard.
