The Golden Eagles faced both the South Titans and Heights and turned in two dominant and emphatic victories. The Golden Eagles are coming off their most dominant wins of the season, winning each of their matchups by 40 plus points.

In the team’s two victories, the Golden Eagles had stellar performances from a wide variety of players on the roster, with both of the games including nine Golden Eagle players on the score sheet.

Game Recaps:

1/26: Win vs South Titans 62>21

The Golden Eagles first matchup of the week came against the South Titans, and the result was Carroll’s most dominant win of the season thus far. The Golden Eagles led 34-5 at the half. It was fairly evident the South Titans had little answers for the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles starting lineup seemed to be running up and down the court with little resistance from the Titans.

The leading scorers for the Golden Eagles were seniors Alex Littlejohn and Enrique Lankford, with Littlejohn scoring a total of 18 points and Enrique scoring a total of 16 points. The Golden Eagles had nine total scorers of the night, which is an impressive feat showing the depth this team possesses.

1/29: Win vs North Redskins 59>19

This was a rare game for the Golden Eagles as there wasn’t necessarily a standout performer for the team. The leading scorer on the night was senior Preston Rottinghause, who finished the night with 12 points.

Looking Forward:

The Golden Eagles will be kicking off their new week tonight against the 9-5 Southeast Golden Buffaloes. I expect tonight’s game to be relatively close but the Golden Eagles should pull off a win by around 10 points. The Golden Eagles then turn right around for a Friday night home game against the 7-5 East Blue Aces. These two games will, most likely, be more competitive for the Golden Eagles. But despite the upcoming competitive week, I do expect for the Golden Eagle win streak to advance to 11 wins. The Golden Eagles are looking extremely strong and impressive at this juncture of the season and I in no-way expect that to change.
