Bishop Carroll vs North Preview

So Far:
Bishop Carroll: The Golden Eagles are coming off of a huge defensive win against the Kapaun Crusaders, where they were able to get the win thanks in part to a huge defensive stand late in the fourth quarter. This stand helped the Golden Eagles to run out the clock with just a minute remaining.

North Pioneers: The Pioneers are having a very difficult start to the season, not being able to muster up a single win through their first six games of the season. They are struggling to find an identity for both their offense and their defense.

Who’s Hot?
Bishop Carroll: Max Bullinger (TE): Senior Max Bullinger is beginning to carve himself a role into the Golden Eagle offense, beginning to serve as a consistent and reliable safety-blanket for quarterback Aiden Niedens. Consistently finding the holes in the defense on third down, as well as consistently getting behind the sticks, Bullinger is helping the offense produce long drives throughout the game.

What to Watch for:
Bishop Carroll: The Golden Eagles will need to continue to drive down the field with ease on offense, but must consistently finish drives with seven points, instead of settling for three. Expect the Golden Eagle defense to look dominant Thursday night against an already weary Pioneers offense. Look for Senior Phoenix Smith to continue to attract double teams, allowing for the other Golden Eagles defenders to get after the quarterback and derailing throws, which will allow the defensive backs to have an easier time creating turnovers.

North Pioneers: The Pioneers will continue to attempt to find an identity on both offense and defense. But this might be an issue since the Golden Eagles are red hot going into this game. They will look to knock off the Golden Eagles in route to their first win of the season.

Prediction:
Expect for the Golden Eagles to win pretty easily tonight, with the Pioneers season pretty much already decided. The Golden Eagles will find ways to create turnovers often, giving their offense plenty of opportunities with a short field to put up points.
Final Prediction: BC 35-6.
