Varsity Boys Soccer – Senior Night

Kate Martin

BC Flyer had the opportunity to talk to some of the senior varsity soccer players after their senior night game. We asked them if they expected their 2-0 win over South High school, and senior Skyler Stuckey replied,
“Yes we expected to win. But we knew that they were going to give us a tough and physical game.”
Senior Alec Bevis was asked what the team could have done better on the field and he said,
“We usually possess the ball and pass it to our midfields and forwards but a few times we had some sloppy passes and turned the ball over in dangerous situations.”
Senior Ryan Griffin stated,
“We didn’t actually play that very well tonight, we need to get sharper with our passes and movement. Going into postseason, we want to be playing our best and must improve our quality.
For the final question, we asked our senior soccer players about how it feels to be playing their final season. Corbin Howard said,
“I’ve been looking forward to being a senior since the first time I stepped on the field and now I’m here wishing I could go back. Something I’ve been telling the younger lads is to never take a day for granted. Soak it all up cause in a blink of an eye it’s all over and you are walking with your parents down that track.”
We are all wishing the soccer team good luck in their last few city league games and hoping they make it to state!
