BOYS SWIMMING: A look at the team with coach Spencer Shellhammer. 

Last year’s record: 6 and 2. 3rd in City and 7th at state

Top returning players, positions and important facts/stats:

Tyler Rump – Senior, breaststroke, 3 year state qualifier.

Zachary Stephen – Sophomore, diving, 1st year state qualifer.

Vincent Poggi – Senior, backstroke, 1 year state qualifier.

Sergio Lara – senior, backstroke.

Dominic Roeser – senior, mid distance free.

Newcomers to watch: “We have lots of upcoming sophomores that we are excited to see even more growth in this year.”

Expectations for upcoming season: “Goal is always to swim the best we can. This sport is mostly a race between yourself (or your relay) and a clock.  It would be great to place top three again at City.”

Strengths/Weaknesses of team: “Strengths – young team with a lot of potential, great athletes that are willing to work hard and do so well together as a team. Weaknesses – our youth also means we do not have as much experience in those big race “

 

What really excites you about this team: “A good group of guys with a lot of energy and positive attitudes. They work hard and it is a great blessing to be their coach!”
