The Northwest Grizzlies have apparently struck again.
It has become a tradition for Northwest or Northwest supporters to decorate the Jesus statue with a Grizzly shirt or jersey the night before the football game.
Vice Principal Mr. Slade LaMunyon has had to deal with the jersey issue every year. This year, the statue was “decorated” Friday morning. The two teams play tonight in a game that many expect to decide the City League title.

“Almost always we get to see the appearance of Jesus sporting the Northwest jersey the morning of the game when all our students are coming to school,” he said. “This year we got the gift during first hour.”
LaMunyon added that the school does have security cameras but that pursuing the pranksters might motivate Northwest to “want to do it more.”
“We can’t ask them to stop because that is just going to make the Northwest students want to do it more,” LaMunyon said. “I just hope that our students don’t show any retaliation towards them. The best way to solve this problem is to just simply win the game.”
