Tuesday will be a big day for the Community system at Bishop Carroll. The day will begin with a late start and after that be a class-free, non-academic day

Assistant Principal Alan Schuckman said, “We’re doing this to break up the monotony of going from class to class and to give students the opportunity to get engaged with each other and develop those relationships within their house and their community.”

Schuckman said that the morning of the class-free day will be spent doing activity rotations within your community, similar to the first day of school. In the afternoon, you will be spending time with your house up until the Senior vs. Faculty basketball game at the end of the day.

During the halftime show of the basketball game, Prom Coordinators Addie Duling and Veronica Lipinski will be revealing the 2018 Prom theme.

Schuckman said, “I don’t want to reveal too much but I can say I want the students to come in and enjoy the day without class.”
