Gameday Preview: Playoff Opener vs. Ark City

Expect Matt Dugan and other fans to be bringing the noise tonight

As expected, Carroll is a two seed in the 5A state tournament. The two seed grants it a match with the 1-7 Ark City Bulldogs at the Bishop Carroll Family Stadium on Friday night. Despite the cold weather expected for tonight, expect Carroll’s fans to fill the stands as the Eagles look to make another deep postseason run. In his first season, Cade Armstrong’s Bulldogs have faltered at times as he is looking to establish himself. Look for Carroll to try and adjust to life without Desmond Smith and Clay Cundiff (prayers out to both of you) as they prepare for not only this week’s game but the possible opponents ahead.

Look out for the underclassmen who will try and step up in a big way for the offense. Braden Howell will also try and accommodate for the loss of Desmond in the running game with some more quarterback keeper plays. The defense, relatively unscathed, looks for another potential shutout against the rebuilding Bulldogs. SCORE: BC 42, Ark City 10
