Below is the text of an email that Father sent out to staff. It was read over the intercom to students before first hour today:

It’s the time of year where pastors line up their draft picks hoping for the good associate, parishes are abuzz with all kinds of speculation, and Jim Nance turns up the heat in his questioning.  I am writing to inform you so that you don’t hear it third hand or at your parish this weekend.  I have been reassigned and will no longer be chaplain at Bishop Carroll as of June 21st.  I appreciate your kindness, your patience and your humor as I adjusted to being in high school again.  Be assured of my prayers, and please extend to the new guy the same welcome you gave me.  Jim the announcement of the new Chaplain will be made Sunday so he can say goodbye to his parish.  Thank you again, you make this place truly remarkable.
