Homecoming week is halfway gone but many students are still going strong with today’s theme of Tourist Attire. From floral Hawaiian shirts to Pilgrim gear and walking sticks, everyone seemed to be having a great time. “I think tourist day was a great idea for Homecoming week. A lot of people were really creative with the theme and everyone’s costumes looked awesome, as long as they weren’t just wearing sweats and a t-shirt,” said junior Marie O’Neal. When asked what he thought of tourist day Evan Nichols responded, “It is fun. A lot better than being in shorts and not as hot. Let everyone show off some sort of style.” “Homecoming week is notorious for being one of the most stressful weeks of the entire year, especially if you’re really involved with the school,” said Junior class president Christine Moran as she sported a straw hat and shorts.” From organizing the parade and powderpuff practices, to catching up with homework and planning your Saturday evening with homecoming commitments. Nevertheless, putting effort into your costumes and going all out and attending the events can make for a memorable homecoming week that would truly count.”. Overall, tourist day was a nice change for hump day of Homecoming week. Grade A
