The Bishop Carroll administrative team has recently revealed an innovative community system that will alter the structure of the school and student council system at Bishop Carroll, beginning next school year. The new system has the school divided up into eight communities led by two student leaders, and one dean, which will be a teacher.

The following teachers applied and, as of recently, been accepted to be the community deans. English teacher Paul Manning freshmen English teacher Aubrey Logsdon, sophomore English teacher Tracy Fox, sophomore and senior History teacher Heather Loveless, choir teacher Melissa Seiler, sophomore history teacher Cory Swords, junior history teacher Mike Skaggs. The co deans, Jessica Schippers and John Barber, will run the eight communities together.

The deans will act according to the under the command of the Coordinator of Student of activities, Abby Johnsen, and Director of Communities, Alan Schuckman. These teacher leaders hope to use this new community system to instill a stronger sense of inclusion and community amongst the students at Bishop Carroll.
