Speak Out!
March 14, 2017
In this edition of Speak Out!, Marlie Wagner asked a student from each class these three questions:
- What is your dream spring vacation, and why?
- What are your biggest goals for the rest of the school year, and why are they important to you?
- What do you regret from the past semester and do do they affect you now?
Preston Means – Freshman
- My dream spring vacation would be spending time with my close friends. I really want to go travel around with them, just somewhere together.
- My goals are to keep straight A’s and do well in Forensics. These are important because I want to keep my GPA up and go as far as I can in Forensics.
- My greatest regrets are not caring enough about my classes. This affected me because it showed me I need to change my attitude towards school and work to keep my grades up more.
Anthony Rodriguez – Sophomore
- My dream spring vacation is going to Columbia. My relatives live there and I would be able to sit on the beach.
- My goals for the semester are to keep all my grades up. That way my GPA looks better as a result.
- I regret letting my grades go down a few weeks before finals. It dropped my GPA down so now I’ve got to work harder to get it back up.
Mallory Schulte – Junior
- Skiing in Colorado. It’s just so serene, and chill, and plus you get exercise.
- My biggest goal is to pass all my classes and to be healthy I guess. It’s important because it’s going to affect me for my whole life.
- I regret not living my life to the fullest. I spend too much time entirely focused on school.
Michael Kelso – Senior
- I wanna go back to Dalhart hanging with my family and friends. I miss home and my family.
- My goals are to just finish strong and not let senioritis hit too hard. I don’t want all my work from the first 3 years to just go down the drain.
- I have no regrets, I actually had a really good semester. I always stay grinding.
