Journal Entry: 1/24/2017 – 1/25/2017

Today is our day of departure. I am on Bus #5. We are already running into roll call issues…Fr. Zach had us count off to see how many, and we got to 48. We not only put too many on the bus, but we were also short one person.

I had asked my mom to put together a small lunch for dinner that night, which I picked up when I came home for a few minutes. I looked inside, expecting to find just a sandwich and a piece of fruit, but I found two different fruits, a sandwich, and two cookies. Off to a good start!

Last night I got to meet with some of my Kapaun friends at Magdalen, as we all gathered to celebrate Mass before our journey. There were confessions available before Mass, and even during. The church was full of pilgrims, excited about the adventure ahead of us.
At about 8:30, we turned onto the turnpike, and put on Sweet Home Alabama. Our first stop was in Boonville, Missouri. By 8 am this morning, we were in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am unsure of how well the majority of us slept. These seats are not the most comfortable. Stay tuned for more updates!
